MEET THE TEAM
Our surf schools are run by some of the most experienced surfers and lifeguards on the island.
Jake grew up surfing in front of the Surf Shak, spending most of his childhood bouncing between the beach, the sea and the south side wall of the Watersplash car park with his crew.
Surfing since the age of six, Jake has represented Jersey and competed both locally and internationally throughout his life. His passion for the ocean led him into beach lifeguarding, where he became the RNLI's first local Beach Lifeguard following their takeover of the service in 2011. Over the years, he progressed through the ranks to become a Beach Lifeguard Supervisor, helping keep Jersey's coastline safe for thousands of beach users every summer.
Today, Jake is the owner of Jersey Surf School which is run over two locations: The Splash & Le Braye. Combining over two decades of surfing experience with extensive qualifications in surf coaching, lifesaving and ocean safety. Whether you're catching your very first wave or looking to progress your surfing, Jake and his team are passionate about sharing the knowledge, confidence and love of the ocean that has shaped their lives.
